Thanksgiving and the Black Friday weekend are just over and here’s already another round of updates for our DEVONthink and DEVONagent product lines. All of them bring improvements and bug fixes that you don’t want to miss. (more)
New season, new releases. For this autumn we have prepared updates for our freeware apps ThumbsUp and XMenu as well as for DEVONthink To Go for you. (more)
In the last few months we focused on getting DEVONthink 3 ready for prime-time and so it had become a bit quiet around DEVONthink To Go. Today, version 2.7.2 has passed Apple’s review.
Our maintenance release brings the sync mechanism on par with DEVONthink 3, makes its handling of indexed items consistent to the Mac, and brings back the sync status sheet. Change the stacking order of PDF annotations and, finally, view highlight annotations added with DEVONthink on the Mac. If you’re a Bookends user you can now link to items stored in your favorite references manager using the Bookends URL scheme. (more)
Sometimes you might want to add data from Dropbox into your DEVONthink databases. With DEVONthink on a Mac this is as simple as dragging and dropping. On iOS, however, Dropbox’s mobile application doesn’t allow for this kind of interaction. So is there an option for easily adding Dropbox data to DEVONthink To Go? (more)

The maintenance release comes with an updated PDF library which fixes a crash during indexing PDF documents. Version 2.7.1 also deletes temporary files used for synchronizing with iCloud as soon as a file is fully uploaded. Direct connections prefer IPv6 now if both IPv4 and IPv6 are available. Finally, the update improves the overall robustness of the app. (more)
DEVONthink 2.11 and DEVONthink To Go 2.7, released today, add push notifications to the synchronization. That means that it takes much less time before changes are available on all your devices. And as a bonus, it lets us wake up DEVONthink To Go, even when your iPhone or iPad is still in your pocket or bag, and pull the new data in the background. (more)
Halloween’s over and the ghouls have hoarded the sweets they need to survive until Christmas.

The maintenance release indexes items without searchable text locally, e.g. email synchronized from DEVONthink Pro, and enhances the way it handles the keyboard when searching. It also improves the reliability of retrieving web page thumbnails, the progress indication when verifying and cleaning sync stores, and the overall reliability and performance of the synchronization.
