Some of you have expressed the desire for a hotkey to show or hide the DEVONthink Sorter. Instead of waiting for us to implement yet another hotkey, you can easily do it yourself.
Now you can start and stop the Sorter as your leisure. Note that you can use this to start and stop e.g. the Web Sharing server in DEVONthink Pro Office, too. Also, note that this method can be used in applications other than ours. You just need a menu item that toggles between two states. (more)

Version 2.7.7 recognizes Apple’s new and shiny Swift source code files, retains more metadata than before when you export documents, and prefills the Save panel with tags for you. Our good friends from Fournova in Stuttgart, Germany, have released the brand new version 2.0 of their Git client Tower. We use Tower ourselves for our code repositories and I’ve been beta-testing Tower 2 for a couple of weeks now. If you’re a developer you should definitely check it out.
Last week we’ve released updates for our popular freeware services WordService and CalcService. Today Apple has approved them for the App Store, too. Now you have the choice whether you’d like to install them directly from our download page or from the App Store.

Version 3.8.1 gives you even more accurate results, skips Amazon results, and comes with updated MacUpdate plugin and Twitter Accounts scanner. In addition, DEVONagent Pro 3.8.1 executes menu scripts in the background now. So they no longer interrupt your important research work. The update fixes an incompatibility to DEVONthink 2.7.6, too. In the last few years we used Google Analytics on our website. It helps us to learn more about our visitors, which pages they look at, and where they come from. But, being a Google product, Analytics also comes with many privacy concerns. Starting today we’ve removed all Analytics code from our website and replaced it with Matomo. (more)
